Stillness, connection, fire, and deep rest in the heart of the South Downs.

Day Retreat, August. Near Petersfield, Hampshire.

There is a particular clarity that only comes when you simply let yourself be somewhere. This is a day given over to that.

A small group of us — no more than six guests — gather on a piece of land in the Hampshire South Downs. There’s no agenda to keep up with and nothing to achieve. Just a long, unhurried day to find connection with nature and with yourself; and to find clarity.

We begin together around the fire. We’ll open the ceremonial container, ground, share the sound of the gongs, and take a little time to name what each of us has come to put down or to find.

Then the day opens out. You’ll find your own place on the land – under a tree, on the grass, looking out over the hills – the nourishing earth beneath you, the expansive sky above… and the hours are yours. To rest. To sit in a deep meditative stillness and let things surface in their own time. To walk. To dance. There’s no right way to spend the day. Support and guidance will be on hand.

As the light softens we come back together around the fire with the drum and songs; and as evening draws in, we will share warmth and food and whatever the day has turned up.

You’ll likely leave feeling quieter inside, clearer, and renewed in purpose.
